Spring Valley Homebuyer Initiative Downpayment Assistance Program
The Spring Valley Economic Development Authority (“EDA”) has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Greater Minnesota Housing Fund (“GMHF”) to support the Spring Valley Homebuyer Initiative Downpayment Assistance Program.
Maximum Amount & Conditions of Funding:
•$20,000 Grant to EDA.
•Grant funds will be used to assist ten (10) qualified buyers to purchase new homes (maximum of $2,000 per home). GMHF funds must be matched 1:1 by the City of SV & SV Public Utilities.
•GMHF Funds are limited to newly constructed homes.
•GMHF Funds must be used for families with dependent children with incomes at or below 80% of the statewide median income adjusted for family size.
•Homes must meet GMHF Acquisition Cost Limits
•Homebuyers must attend a “Homestretch” homebuyer education class.
